Salad dressings are simple to make and also easy to
modify. Create your own salad dressing by adding new ingredients or
substituting types of vinegars, etc.
1/2 cup canola oil
1 (3/4 oz.) pkg. basil leaves, torn
1 cup honey
1 small clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/8 tsp. salt
juice from 1 fresh lime
Pour oil into bowl or food processor. Add honey.
Pour vinegar into the cup used for honey and stir the acidic vinegar around,
cleaning the cup of the sticky honey. Pour vinegar into bowl or food processor.
Add remaining ingredients and mix or blend. Store remainder of dressing in
a jar or tupperware and shake before use. Should store for up to one week |
