STOP DRINKING POSILAC IN YOUR
MILK
Posilac,
a variety of Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone(rBGH),
is a synthetic version of Bovine Somatotropin(bST), a hormone that occurs
naturally in milk. Posilac is a Recombinant Bovine Somatotropin (rbST) that is
injected into dairy cows to increase milk production. It can be found in
all milk not labeled 'Free of Growth Hormones' and has been deemed safe
for human consumption by the FDA and USDA. |

Why Avoid Posilac?
Despite its approval by the FDA and USDA, there are no long-term studies proving its safety because it is a relatively new substance. Canada has banned Posilac's use, citing its potential to cause "sterility, infertility, birth defects, cancer and immunological derangements." The European Union has also banned its use for the same reasons. Because of successful lobbying by Monsantos lobbyists, dairy companies do not have to label milk obtained through the use of rbST. The small percentage of dairy farmers who do not use the rbST hormone always label their milk 'FREE OF' to discern the difference.
Sadly, it is the children who are most affected by these new chemical additives to the Nations food supply. We at FITT for LIFE encourage you to take the time to learn more about the unlabeled dangers and share this information with those you care about.
